one must be reminded that Core Health is the new kid on the block and many other facilities are jealous of it's new furnishings and over all facility. Go visit it. It is not affiliated with out of state facilities most of which have questionable reputations. NJ has strict requirements, many other states are loose and thus are not acceptable programs. sometimes patients are not happy with discipline and can bad mouth a facility.
This place is awful. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Never ever go here. Staff is awful. They have no clue what they're doing. Extremely unorganized. Extremely unprofessional.
This place needs serious help, I have been working in this field for over 10 years and never experienced or witnessed anything like this during an interview. No house managers to assist the clients needs, no H&I you can not run a 24 hour treatment rehab without house managers, the clients needs must come first. We must meet the clients where they are at and it has to be about client care, always.. I hope someone steps in and gets this new director out of there she is a danger to the clients, she has no idea what she is doing..
First, I would like to thank Lisa S. She is the catalyst that makes this program succeed. She is extremely dedicated. She was instrumental in guiding me to completing the program. She helped me accept and understand my addiction and how it affected all aspects of my life. She was also very helpful in teaching me respect and self-reliance. She taught me to accept and love myself for who I am and that I don't need to hide or be ashamed of myself. The work she has done with me was literally life changing. I cannot thank her enough for all that she has done. She freed me of a burden that was holding me back not only in my addiction but in life in general. I have a deep admiration for her and feel so lucky that I was under her wing. Many thanks Lisa!!
I cannot say enough good things about this program. Kudos to the entire staff for being so caring and empathetic. I have tried many times to get sober and have been through many programs but this time it's different. I left there with a good foundation for my road to recovery. Going to NA/AA meetings everyday was beneficial. It taught me to get a network and take advantage of the program. I was never fond of meetings until I went to Core. Many thanks to the entire staff and all involved in the program.
I was there for a day and half.. they wouldn’t detox me, because I had a script for subs filled a couple weeks before I got there. They kicked my out... mind you the place is dirty, when my ride got there they rushed me out the door keeping half my stuff in the office and didn’t give it back, rushed me out the door while I was telling the guy half my stuff isn’t here. I will be calling and complaining first thing in the morning... the place is not what it says on the website and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Instead of detoxing you when you walk into the rehab, they make you wait 24 hours or longer until they feel you are ready for the meds. I’ve never heard of such a thing in my life. I came in completely sick nothing in my system, they didn’t care. The doctor never comes into the rehab to see you. You only have 5 smoke breaks... when your detoxing and going through it 5 smoke breaks really isn’t anything. They don’t have patches to help with that either. No one comes to wake you up for breakfast. If your not on top of the smoke breaks or the schedule they don’t come get you. I’ve never been in rehab this unorganized in my life..
